Final Project: Bobwhite-Manatee Transmission Line Proposal
This project involves the proposed transmission line corridor connecting connecting the Manatee Energy Center switchyard to the Bobwhite Substation east of Interstate 75 in Sarasota County. A variety of tools were used, including Intersect , Calculate Geometry , Centerline , Select by Attribute and Project . Several instances of community impact were found, including impact to homes, conservation areas, and wetlands. There were several setbacks in completing this assignment. I had particular trouble geocoding the data for the Sarasota and Manatee County schools which took several attempts to complete. However, in the end I managed to match the majority of the school addresses to the map. GIS Story Map
